David Clark H5042 Headset Schematic
The David Clark H5042 Headset for Breathing Apparatus is powered by your voice, with no need of batteries or electricity. When in operation, your voice travels to a transmitter that then causes fluctuations in a magnetic circuit, creating a current powerful enough (approximately 20 micro amperes) to operate up to six headsets for a distance of several miles, depending on your application.
Important Notes
Voice Powered Systems should not be grounded.
Do not put cable in same conduit with electrical wires.
All headsets are compatible and interchangeable.
Headsets, jumper cords and extension cords operate over a 2 conductor, 20 AWG cord.
